which laptop is better in gaming? (low-med)

hey guys im kinda having a hard time picking on what should i get for my birthday. i want to get a gaming laptop but i don' know which. Waddaya think? And pls don;t recommend other laptops cuz these two are my choices only.

Asus x555lb
Intel core i7-5500u
Nvidia 940m 2gb
8gb ram
1tb

Lenovo z5070
Intel Core i7-4510u
8gb ram (upgradable up to 16gb)
*can also add ssd* (optional)
1tb
nvidia 840m 4gb

Does adding ram or ssd improve the gaming performance?

CPU and GPU are one of the most needed parts for gaming.
The Asus x555lb have better nVidia GPU + higher i7 CPU.
I can advice you to take it and i you will be happy enough !
