Which laptop is better, specs and is price worth it?

Hello,
I'm pretty much a noob when it comes down to laptops and computers and i'm starting collage soon. The weight of the laptop isnt an issue i'd rather care about whats under the hood. I'm stuck on what to go for between the these two laptops and would greatly appreciate your views and opinions and advice. I'm going to be using it for just above casual gaming on games such as Guild Wars 2 and Skyrim, and of course Word for homework and assigments.
