Which laptop should I get betweem i5-6200u and i7-7700u?

Hey guys! My cousin is planning to buy a laptop and we're not sure whether to get the i7 or i5. The i5 is an Asus VivoBook X456UQ. It has GT940MX gpu, 4GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB HDD and costs $693.17.

The i7 is a Dell Vostro. It has 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD, it did not mention what type the gpu it has. It costs $620.63. So which one should I get guys?

Photo editing. Just photos, no videos. Regarding on my budget, I could stretch it out "if" the i5 is better since there's not that huge difference. Also, I guess that's the best one I could get here. I live in General Santos, Philippines and I don't really have much options.

i5 would be your better choice because it will do what you need to do and that computer has a 1tb harddrive which is also good. Personally I like The Dell better for the company, I never had a problem with then and i owned 6 laptops with then throughout the years. I now build my own pc just because i like upgrading.

But i7 is more future proof but the 500gb harddrive is not the best if you are going to store photos on your computer. But the Performance difference inst that much different imo.

You probably want to upgrade it to 8 GB rather than 4 GB of RAM. 4 gigs just doesn't really cut it these days, especially working with Photoshop or some editing program.

Yeah, adobe uses up a lot of ram. That's one reason I didn't get it. 4 gb will work fine with photoshop. Its when you start using after affects ram becomes an issue.

How about the difference between GT640MX and Intel HD Graphics? Is it huge? Or barely noticeable?
