which laptop to choose

just looking for different perspectives here, I have around $1000 to spend, will be keeping it for 4+ years, will be using it for college, some light gaming.

I would side with the Asus since it's got the latest tech, with larger additional/secondary storage. Would also help when it comes to warranty claim as opposed to the certified refurbished.

But Amazon honors all of their certified refurbished as new computers.
