This laptop will be temporary, because I'm going to give it to my mom, I just need a portable device that can play games like diablo 3, torchlight 2, fallout maybe skyrim at low-medium settings.. are these any good? and which one should i buy??

How much quality do you want with your games? These all have 1366x768 screens so you will not be able to play in full HD. You may want to consider this especially with bigger laptops (15.6 inch).
I personally have a 1366x768 15.6 inch laptop and it is noticeable even when on desktop.
Also with your price range being that low it may be difficult to find a laptop to run Skyrim as you will not find many laptops with dedicated graphics at that price.
However if you are alright with a 1366x768 resolution and not having a dedicated graphics card the Lenovo IdeaPad G505s is a good laptop however you may also want to look at this laptop: Here

thanks for the answer, as for the quality, performance is more important to me, because when im done with this laptop, im going to give it to my mom, so im only gonna use it for a month anyway. i have my gaming desktop at home for quality. this is just temporary to keep me busy during 115+ degree weather. skyrim would be the highest end of graphics im looking for in this laptop

i checked out the HP envy 15, i like it, but its near the end of my budget, i still put it in to consideration, if its worth spending the extra 200$ compared to the G505s? like i said im going to be giving it to my mom when i come back from vacation so its just temporary, till my next vacation

which one is the best? for 500$ i think the G505s isnt bad at all? what are your thoughts on the laptops listed here?

The G505s is an excellent laptop especially for budget gaming, out of the ones you stated it is the best bet. However revaluating my previous post and looking at as slightly lower budget look at these two laptops.

I put together a little table to compare specs and bare in mind that CPU is very close on all three so you may want to look at the links below:
