Which pair is better?

These headphones are the same price but one is noise cancelling and one is not. I'm not really sure why they are the same price if one has an extra feature. Please help me figure out which is the better of the two. I plan on using this headset at work most of the time but will probably use them for plane travel and such.

I'd go for the 990. Active noise cancelling and a much longer battery life. That is of course if you want noise cancelling. I personally prefer open back headphones. With open backs I can hear the environment so it's the opposite of noise cancelling. This allows me to hear co workers, wife screaming at me, doorbell, telephone, etc... I am not deaf while wearing the headphones.

Of course with open backs when you want it quite it's a pain cause I hear the wife's game, or TV. etc... and it bugs me.
