Which processor is better the Intel I3 5020U or the AMD A8 -7410 APU

Looking to get a laptop for my son as present , HP Pavillion laptop but have option of the AMD or Intel processor, he will use it for web browsing, watching movies and some light microsoft office stuff.
which processor is better >

The Core i3-5020u is at least as powerful as the A8-7410 APU and that is assuming all 4 cores in the APU is being used.

The Core i3's Intel HD 5500 is more powerful than the Radeon R5 (Beema) graphics core in the A8 APU. The Radeon R5 (Beema) is only about as powerful as the Intel HD 4000 graphics core which is 2 generations older than the Intel HD 5500.
