Hi, I'm going to buy a home theater system which is a budget range. Also I'm looking for these two specific products.

RCA RT2770
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882125250&cm_re=RCA_RT2770-_-82-125-250-_-Product

RCA RT2781H
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0ZK-000Z-00005

I need the Dolby digital to be decoded. Also I'm a purist and need 1000w power.

RT 2770 says 1000w
RT 2781H says 1000w RMS

Not in the technical way. But from user experience, what product do you recommend.

Thanks

Of those two the RT278 has HDMI switching to make connections easier. Neither supports lossless Dolby audio from bluray so you will not get the superior sound that BD discs offer. Standard Dolby Digital is ok but not as good as Dolby True HD.
Doesn't it seem odd to you that a $1000 7.1 surround receiver, without speakers, may only have 700 watts of power but these far cheaper systems are rated at 1000 watts (and include speakers). Surround sound receivers are rated with strict FTC regulation but HTiB, like the RCAs, are not so the actual amount of power either of those has is so far short of being a tenth of that bogus 1000 watt rating that you don't even have to worry about that.

Well we have to believe what the company and trust full reviews say, right?
