Which to buy? Ci7 2nd Gen or Ci5 4th Gen?

So I have been digging around a lot lately and finally found 2 solutions that might fit my need. I am planning to do 1080p rendering and editing on the machine. I have 2 options.
1. Dell lattitude e6420 Used
Core i7 2620m
4gb ram
320gb Hard Drive
14 inch HD+ screen
$260

2. Dell Inspiron 17 HD7737 New
Core i5 4200u
6gb ram
1TB HDD
17.3 inch HD+ touchscreen
$650

I know the comparison is awkward, but I can buy Second one on Installments easily but first one on cash. I can save a lotta casg on first option but I am confused because both sport exceptional build quality. And yeah, I have no other option so please suggest between these two.

There is pretty much no comparison between them, new vs used, i5 vs i7, 14 " vs 17.3 " screen.
It's like asking to pick between water and a soda instead of two water brands or two soda brands.

Anything anyone suggests would be based on what they want not you.
