My laptop died and so I'm in need of another. NewEgg has the above brands for under $300. Five dollars different in price. Which is the better laptop? I'd be using it for internet browsing and watching video, maybe an occasional game of Heroes of Might and Magic III, no serious gaming. I'll link the two pcs below.

Thanks.

The ThinkPad has a more powerful CPU. They are also pretty rugged laptops because they meet the Department of Defense's MIL-SPEC requirements for equipment to be used in harsh environments and rough handling. Their keyboards are considered one of the best. It does lack a number pad so if it is extremely important to have one then go for the HP.

The ThinkPad also has a more powerful graphics core, the Intel HD 3000. It was considered a big improvement over their previous graphic cores. But it was still weaker than a dedicated GPU. It shouldn't have problems playing HoMM3 since it was released back in 1999.

A larger capacity hard drive is nice as well.
