which to buy?

I'm currently going for a used laptop and I'm conflicted between two ultra books:
http/www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook-air/specs/macbook-air-core-i5-1.3-13-mid-2013-specs.html

And

http/support.lenovo.com/uu/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-t-series-laptops/thinkpad-t420s/4174/p4g (but with 8 gb ram) (will replace the multipay with a batteri and give it a 6-cell battery).

What I'm looking for is a laptop for general work: Websurfing, writing, reading. (doing my cand. and doing business work) I need something very solid build, kindda light, and holds power a long time.

If I go with the lenovo

Hi,
In the end, it is you who decides. The Lenovo is cheaper, longer battery life, and runs the more customizable Windows.
The Mac, does cost more, but it has nicer UI, easier to understand interface, and includes i5 Intel

Only get the lenovo if you do a lot of multi tasking as the i7 will produce more heat that the i5.
