Which VPN to choose from?

Hey guys. I wanted to try out working behind VPNs and for the first time, I just recently paid for a 1 month trial of IPVanish to see how it works. So far I like it a lot. The speed seems no different than when I'm not behind the VPN and it's quick to connect to. My concern is that due to having no experience with these, I wanted to know if there are there better services out there or should I be fine with what they offer?
