Hello,
I just replaced a broken LCD on my Toshiba P205. When I booted the machine, it seemed fine, until I opened the lid a bit further. That is when the screen became white and a hissing noise came from the top left side of the LCD.
When I apply pressure to the back panel or side metal brackets (where you screw in the LCD) the screen displays normally and the hissing sound is gone. When I remove my hand, the white screen reappears. I have checked the video connection, and it was fine.
Could this be a faulty LCD, or am I missing something here?
