I have a Samsung 6-series Smart TV that I bought at the end of 2016. I have an 2006 Wii that I connected using a component cable and the adapters that came with the TV. It worked great.

Then earlier this year, the TV stopped accepting the signal. It identifies the input as 720x480 60i, but gives an error message of "Resolution Not Supported." I tried replacing all component of the cables with new ones: same problem. I tried a Wii to HDMI adapator and a general component to HDMI adapter, but it doesn't read anything from those sources. I took the Wii to a repair shop and they said it works just fine on their TVs.

I'm wondering if this is something that happened after a recent firmware update. Anybody have this happen or have any ideas what could be the problem?
