Why do i have to enter my password to turn my phone OFF?

I have to enter my password to turn my phone OFF. Is anyone else experiencing this? How do i fix this?

The only time you should have to enter the password is when the screen goes dark. Which can happen all day. Including when turning it off. Your only option then is to not have a password if you don't want to have to do that.
