Why do people buy used or refurbished iPhones since the FaceID parts may be aftermarket or third party and not have the original and genuine FaceID parts? Wouldn’t that be unsafe and cause injury to your eyes and skin? How are the people all over the world that use refurbished or used iPhones not blind since if the FaceID parts are aftermarket, it could damage their eyes, especially if they use the device unknowingly day to day and didn’t know the FaceID parts were not the original and genuine ones?

Not all refurbished or used iPhones have aftermarket or third-party FaceID parts, and reputable repair centers use high-quality parts that meet safety standards. While there are some potential safety risks associated with aftermarket parts, not everyone can afford a brand new iPhone, and there are many reputable third-party manufacturers who produce safe and reliable components. It's important to do research and buy from reputable sellers and repair centres.

So can Face ID parts like the dot projector be replaced? Apple says on one of their safety pages that third-party Face ID parts can cause injury to your eyes or skin. How are people supposed to know the phone they have if it is refurbished has original and genuine Face ID parts, especially if Face ID still works.

Pre-owned iPhones are often much cheaper than brand new ones of the same model meaning that many people, especially those on a budget, prefer to buy second-hand phones instead. Also, the majority of people (that I know, at least) don’t even take things like Face ID parts into consideration when buying a pre-owned phone

It is quite challenging to determine the risks involved while purchasing used or refurbished iPhones. However, it's vital to know that not all sellers provide iPhones with aftermarket or third-party FaceID parts. Many reputable sellers ensure that they sell only authentic devices with genuine parts, including the FaceID components.

In cases where you end up purchasing an iPhone with aftermarket or third-party FaceID parts, being extra vigilant is crucial. Despite no research suggesting that these parts can cause damage to your eyes or skin, it's still wise to exercise caution and purchase the device from a reliable seller.

Thats a simple question. Money! Why else? I dont see any other justifiable reason other than Budget Constraints and the liking towards the Apple ecosystem for why people get used/refurbished iPhones.
