Solved! Why does my rca tv turn black on a certain channel?

It's a bit old, and I was innocently trying to watch the Glee marathon on oxygen and my TV had to put a damper on things. Help?

you are probably watching a encoded program. you need the cable box to watch that channel.

Make sure all of your closed-captioning services are off on both your tv and dish/cable box. Especially the "Text" service. A lot of broadcasts come up with junk captioning lately.
