If you follow redflagdeals or you check prices regularly yourself, you would know that,

i5 3210M with AMD Radeon HD 8750M(1GB Dedicated) for 650 at Staples and Staples is the last place i would search for a good deal.

NCIX is has an i5-3317U on sale.

Dell had several very solid i5, i7 sales lately.

Bestbuy/Futureshop both had a few i5, i7 sales lately.

Why is everyone trying so hard to get rid of these computers?

Congrats! Haha. Though I don't think it would be a surprise for anyone since this has been happening almost every time a new product launches on any market.

With board manufacturers churning out z87 mobos, the feeling is high that Haswell, Intel's new series of chips is on the horizon so I guess that's why retailers are slashing prices on Ivy Bridge CPUs.
