As the title says. I think my wifi card is causing my laptop not to post. Yesterday I opened my laptop to disconnect the wifi card because I was having problems with the wifi connectivity of the laptop. I disconnected it, and reconnected it and tried to turn on the laptop. It wont post, just the keys iluminated.

I took it off again and the laptop turned on fine, so I though that maybe it was dust causing the problem. I cleaned it and connected it. When trying to turn it on again it wont even turn on the ligths of the laptop. But this time the wifi card got really hot, so I think it got fried in a short. My question is, could the connector be faulty? I ordered another wifi card, but I dont want to fry it too.

The laptop works fine without the wifi card.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, so I tested the new wifi card and it was that. The old wifi card got fried, but the connector is good and functioning, as well as the new wifi card. Thanks.
