wifi connection not found on laptop

My Acer Laptop does not connect to internet using wifi. I get the error message " No wifi connection found."
Best Buy service tech checked and said that wifi card may have gone bad.
Where do i get the wifi card and how do I replace it?
Also, how do I check if the wifi switch is on or off on Acer Laptop Model 3004.

replacing wifi card on a laptop is quiet an easy task.usually u just need to open the cover underneath the laptop with the wifi logo on it and unscrew the faulty wifi card.to check if its on or not u could try combination of fn+f1/f etc.depending on your model.there should be a notification that wifi is on.on some other models the have a knob or switch to turn on the wifi.

Per google the wifi on off switch are on the front of the laptop next to the audio ports.
