WiFi keeps crashing[for lack of a better word]

For a couple months now my Hp laptop with win 10 just doesn't like connecting to wifi
I've moved twice so I know its not the network itself.
basically every 20-30 mins[sometimes even 2-3 mins]
the internet stops working and with it chrome stops responding and not only that but so do basic functions like settings and windows apps[I cant open them afterwards and if they are open they crash
the same thing has happened to even the task manager during the crash
when I click on the WiFi button on the taskbar it either shows all networks without connecting to them i try to manually connect and they dissapear then I have to rapidly tap the wifi button to restart it
or the wifi button just disappears and theres nothing to be done except restart the laptop after which
it works for a random time anywhere from a minute to an hour after which its rinse and repeat
This thing is the only piece of tech I have and i can't afford a replacement or repairman right now so anyhelp would be amazing[It took me 5 mins of rebooting just trying to post this]

edit:I guess i should mention ive already tried reinstalling the wifi driver changing power management options for wifi adapter and resetting windows to reinstal windows using win 10 helper
Try this....

1. Go to "Control Panel".

2. Next go to "Network and Internet" and then "Network and Sharing".

3. Now click on "Manage Wireless Networks".

4. On this screen, remove all wireless connections by "right clicking" on it and select "Remove network" from the drop down menu.

5. After doing this, close the open windows and reboot the computer.

6. Once the computer is fully reloaded, scan for the "Wi-Fi networks".

7. Click on the available network that you want to access and select "connect".

8. It takes a moment, but then you will be asked to give a password for your Wi-Fi connection. Type in the password and click the "connect" button.

It should now be connected.

NOTE: If this doesn't work, you may want to reset your modem/router, and then once it is fully loaded again, repeat the above steps.

If this doesn't work, test seeing if your laptop will connect via Ethernet. If so, then your WiFi card may be going. You can either look to replace it/have it replaced, or get an external (plugs in via USB) WiFi card.
