Hello all,

Intermediate to intermediate/advanced with computers/windows.

Looking for a starting point to see if it is possible to connect at VOIP phone with only an ethernet port to my laptop (via ethernet), so that it could use the wifi connection that the laptop is using (eg Hotel wifi, or my own cell hotspot).

I hope so, it means I could work remotely away from the office for a week.

Any ideas or starting points to if this is even possible?

Laptop is Windows 10 HP Pavilion, work VOIP phone is a Yealink T46G

I also have an old ethernet switch that I used to use for LAN gaming parties, if that would be needed. (Can’t remember make or model).

Some hotels I visit still have wired internet, but not sure how to activate this on the VOIP phone, considering there is usually a signon page via the browser which the phone doesn’t have per-se

Any tips or thoughts to try are appreciated.
