Will gaming at 1080 look strange on a 4k screen?

I am about to purchase a nice gaming laptop that has a 4k screen, With this laptop I will be using it for school, entertainment, and gaming. When I game I will be playing most at 1080. Will playing 1080 on a 4k screen look different than playing 1080 on a 1080 screen?
