Will not shut off

Solution
You may need to let it run out of power. First let it lose all power. Then plug it in to charge and leave it turned off. Only let it charge for a short while, short enough to allow for starting up to test again to see if it loads. You only want a smaller charge as if you get stuck again, it will run out of power quickly.

If it starts up, great, you are good. If it doesn't, then let it run out again and again charge it a small amount. This time, however, you will try starting it in "Safe Mode" (instructions below) and see if it starts. If it does, then while you will have limited access in that mode, you will know that the problem is software related. If it does, then while you will have limited access in that mode, you will know that the problem is software related. Bad app, malware, virus, etc. That you need to remove before you can restart the tablet in normal mode. If, however, it still won't start up in "Safe Mode, then you would have to either consider a "Hard Reset", which will wipe the device and start it fresh, or it is a hardware problem.

To get into "Safe Mode" please do the following.

1. First turn off the tablet.

2. Next press and hold "Power" until you see the manufacturers logo on the screen, then release the power button.

3. "Quickly" press "Volume Down" and hold it for few seconds until you see the message "Safe mode: ON" or something similar.

4. If you wanted disable it, simply repeat the steps above, and you should see "Safe Mode: OFF" rather than on.
