Will i5 6200u 2.3 ghz, 6gb of RAM and Nvidia GTX 940 (2 GB DDR3) run GTA 5 on low-medium settings? What kind of FPS can I expect?

You will be will to play the game decently. With most settings down you will get som pretty decent fps, and if you put a bunch of them up, it will still run good, as long as you don't mind 30 fps
