Win 10 upgrade stays on "working on it" for 18 hours. No download. What steps should I take to fix issue?

reboot and try again is about all you can do. you're old os is still there and running since the installer did not get to the point of removing it.

so simply do a reboot and try again. it happens sometimes and should not bother you unless it does it a few more times. then something may be wrong.
