Win 8.1 File Explorer

Although I have set the File Explorer to open with the C:\ expanded, above the C: I have all these other folders like This PC, Admin, Desktop, Docs, etc.

These folders take a lot of space and I wonder is there a way to hide them so I only see the C:\ expanded?
