Windows 8.1 right click

Hi, I just updated Windows 8.1. Now when I right click an app in Start nothing happens it only puts a check mark. It was working fine before the update. Any ideas? I saw some posts about missing folders but none of my folders are missing.

One more thing. I can pin to start if i right click a shortcut in desktop.
