Windows 8 Acer Laptop constant low memory message

Hi, I've a reasonably new (under a year old) Acer Aspire that is always telling me I have low memory and to close programs. The actual C Drive is fine for memory but when I looked at what processes were running it seemed to suggest that the disk was at 98% capacity with lots going on despite me thinking everything has been closed down.

Can anyone assist me in understanding what's going on? We're way past my understanding at this point!!

Most probably the laptop is overheating

Try using a notebook cooler while using it
Or send it to a computer technician to clean the heatsink fan

Would I notice the heat from that? The laptop feels cool to the touch at the moment. Also do you know would the "low memory" message have anything to do with printer problem also - every document I try to print it tells me there is an error 2/3 way through. It's the strangest thing - every time I print one page it stops printing 2/3 way down the page but if I print 3 pages it will print the first two then error message!
At the moment if I want one page I have to select to print two copies so I get one and a bit!!

That would be a driver issue for the printer
Try reinstalling or updating the printer utility software from the manufacturers website

Your RAM is filling up. Upgrade the RAM in the computer.
