I treated myself to a new laptop w/windows 8...it was very difficult to use...what's ...instead of Icons they use CHARMS...WHAT IS THAT. Too confusing for me so I sent the computer back. I can see upgrading when you have a problem...but you can't fix something that isn't broken

I can sympathize. Win8 is for the generation that grew up on smart phones. I had to look long and hard to find a new laptop with Win7. I finally ended up with a Thinkpad. It comes with Win7 Pro installed and includes install disks for Win 8 for those that want to go that route. If you are interested in going that route, let me know. I will link to to where I bought it.
