Windows istallation problem

Acer TravelMate 5742G. Is stuck on startup after trying to upgrade from Widnows7 to Widnows10. Can anyone assist.

During installation it was stuck at 99% initially then somehow the buttery was disconnected by mistake and went flat. Now when starting it keeps on rotating on start of windows10. It does'nt even recognize the disc to continue installing?

Do you mean:

1. You see the Windows 8/8.1/10 logo (Blue Windows Icon) with rotating dots
OR
2. The Starting Windows text with the forming windows 7 logo
OR
3. The PC is stuck in a reboot loop at the BIOS (Acer Logo)

It should recognize the disc however. Try turning on the laptop, waiting for the ACER logo, and hitting F2, F10, ESC, etc (look up the exact key if these dont work) to get into the BIOS setup and see if the DVD (over 700MB, so it would read as a DVD) is recognized.
