Wireless Cable TV in Garage?

Whats the hot setup for getting cable tv into the garage without running a cable? I tried a transmitting device about 5 years but it worked very poor. Any suggestions that have worked well?

On top of my head you need 802.11ac and 4 bar+ signal strength then maybe get something going.

depending on where you live many TV carriers have wireless boxes now where you can just put the tv anywhere as long as there is a power outlet to plug the tv and ther box into.

Or, just go old school and OTA for the garage TV.
Or...Roku, Chromecast, slingbox.

You've not mentioned distance, garage construction, etc.

Can you test a WiFi signal in there with a laptop, maybe? Just to see what performance you're getting now.
