Wireless display for a desktop

Hi guys! I just wanted to know if there is a device that you could hook to the vga or dvi port on a desktop that could transmit a wireless display to a tablet. I want to be able to fully control the computer using my tablet. Is this possible and could it be done cheaply?

It can be done for free. Though you do need an Android phone with Chrome and Chrome on your PC. It's called Chrome Remote Desktop, and it is awesome. I use it all the time. It's a Chrome app on the PC, and a Google Play app on Android. It' easy to set up, too.
