Wont charge when on.

Hello,

My Acer Aspire will not charge properly when switched on. It does if I jiggle the connection.

It charges fine when switched off. Any help out there?

Don't have an explanation for why jiggling the cord helps unless it is a loose connection.
If you have changed the power supply, check that it has the same output rating as the original.
Other than that, probably the battery. Laptop batteries typically die not long out of warranty.
The way laptop batteries are charged without necessarily going flat reduces their life span considerably.
