X40 startup problem

Hi Everyone...

I got an used thinkpad x40 from ebay (from a shop with great customer feedback) which i m unable to boot. It shows no ibm logo on startup or doesn't beep either. The screen remains blank with backlight and few LEDs on. I tried entering bios menu with no luck. The ram slot is empty... but sellers say it has builtin ram and they have tested it b4 shipment.

I m ready for the worst, but wanna take a shot to make it run... it's worth a shot. Any advice/help/idea would be appreciated.

Fan goes on, drive spins? Or is it totaly dead?

Try an external monitor with it.

yes, it works with an external monitor... too bad !
As it comes with some return policy, i'll send it back to the seller tomorrow...
