XBOX hook up to Laptop

I read where someone else had a similar question, someone replied with using the external screen projection thing, which I found, but then said to choose the TV option which would confuse your xbox into thinking it was a TV, my problem is I cant find the TV option, can anyone help me?

On the Xbox itself, you'll need to manually enable game streaming. Then, using the app there will be an option to scan for the Xbox. Once found, you'll be able to connect and stream games so long as you are within range of the Xbox and requirements are met.

For older models of Xbox, I don't think you can stream nor hard-line connect video. But I am not fully certain of that.
