XBox to computer?

can i plug a hdmi cable into my xbox and use an adapter to convert the video thriough a usb?

No you cannot if you were expecting to directly show the video toa tv or pc.
What you can do is plug the hdmi from the xbox into a capture deivce which is connected thru usb to your pc wand see the video using the cpature software. I don't know if this would be playable though.
