Seems like a dumb move for Yahoo to absorb a dial up business that has be dragging down Time Warner. If Microsoft were to remove its offer after such a deal, then Yahoo would be worse off than before.

Yahoo trying to buy AOL before a Microsoft takeover is like someone trashing their house or car before letting the bank repossess it. Of course Microsoft is upset. AOL is garbage and Microsoft doesn?t want it. Yahoo just wants to screw Microsoft. I wonder if Yahoo executives don?t care what happens to Yahoo because they know they?re a dead company walking. Maybe Google has offered the Yahoo executives some plush golden parachutes behind the scenes to make sure MS doesn?t get Yahoo.

Microsoft and Yahoo are dead companies walking. Neither have a vision for the future of their companies. Microsoft is in a better position because they still take in lots of revenue from their operating systems and office software divisions but this isn't going to last indefinitely.

Both companies need some visionaries able to see where we are headed in the future. Right now Google is the only company with some vision among the 3.

Microsoft is constantly making moves to keep itself financially secure. @Bobbox1980 - Ever heard of MS Surface? Do you ever pay attention to the number of acquisitions this company makes to stay ahead of the game? Microsoft is not going anywhere anytime soon. Google has vision, yes, but to say that MS doesn't is ignorance. These businesses are in it for the money like every other biz.
