yamaha rv-502 reciever wont turn on

i was playing misic at a high volume yesterday when it got hot and shut off. now it wont turn on at all and the fuse in the back isnt blown. what could the problem be?

There might be some internal fuses but when you overdrive an amp it can blow up. Or the protection circuit got damaged. You would need a tech to check it and tell you. Given the value of the receiver (about $90) it would not be worth investing in the repair if the amp is blown.
