Yogapad 2 not assigning drive letter to l 2tb harddrive (disk management shows it recognizes the drive)

I have the yogapad 2 and it wont let me assign a drive letter to my 2tb external hard drive. When i plug it into usb 3.0 or 2.0 ports ot says the system will install the required drivers but it doesnt and the drive never shows in explorer

the computer does recognize the hd but for some reason doesnt read it. It wont let me convert the drive to a dynamic drive also as i have tried that.

It also does not let me assign a drive letter, mark partition as active or any other actions besides delete volume.

Could the problem be that i used this drive in a mac ?

Yes, mac use a different file system. Do you have any data on the hard drive? if not delete and create and new one.
