Youtube buffering: 1080p to 1440p/4k

Whenever I watch a 1080p video, it runs smoothly and never buffers, the gray bar leaving the red bar in the dust.

But as soon as I switch to 1440p or higher, only recently, ive been stuck in buffering hell.

It means your internet speed is just as fast as it should be to run 1080p.
I had the same years ago with 720p (smoothly) but 1080 I had to wait to buffer.

My problem though, is that, about 3/8's of the video is already loaded (according to the gray bar)

I got some more information about my problem.

when ever I put the video to 1440p or higher, the buffer health almost halves, and the connection speed increases slightly.

At some point, the dropped frames cap. Like, it gets stuck at 0/1635

Go to Your web browsers ADDon manager and disable/uninstall FLASH.

This will force videos on youtube to use HTML5 instead of FLASH.

It didn't work, it stops at a point and seems to buffer endlessly.

Also, I was already using the html5 player, I did it anyway just to make sure though.

Hm..... Clear ALL your cookies. as Youtube might think file is already in Temp folder.

Alright, I did that, cleared all the cookies and history.
