YouTube iPhone application issues

I have downloaded YouTube on my iPhone for quite a long time and for the past week I've been experiencing unusual quality issues. Say I go and watch any HD video on my laptop, the result would be good video quality and no buffering time as I have good internet (1ms ping / 95.87 download / 93.83 upload) however, when I watch the same video on my phone the video takes very long to buffer and ssometimes results in a "playback error". Is there any way I can fix this annoying issue?
