i would like help with something because i always hear mix opinions about the issue. Z906 sounds so lacking imo so i would consider a sound card since i did cheap out on the motherboard during build time. i have the gigabyte gaming 5 z170x so its not the best sound solution on the market and also am using spdif cable but willing to switch to analog for uncompressed sound. all i get is loudness from the z906 and anything over half the volume just sounds flat no real depth to the sound. i do consider my self an audiophile to some small extent because i do love the little high pitch and low notes that i find the z906 to lack, also dont want to consider another set of speakers since i got these brand new for free so regardless am tranna enjoy these speakers cuz they are not all bad. just looking for the best possible solution for the best possible audio from these. so would i see an increase in audio quality with a sound card over six-channel analog over onboard spdif connections?
thank you all if any reply i do appreciate any replies or comments since i am a bit desperate to try a new setup in search of better audio quality from these speakers.
also am looking at the asus xonar dgx and dsx sound cards i dont need anything more than that imo.
