Hi everyone!

I'm looking to buy Asus Zenbook UX510 which has stock 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD .. but I'm looking to replace the HDD with regular 2.5" SSD which I have. But on the web I cannot find any information is this doable. I'm scared the HDD might be somehow soldered (never seen it, but you never know) or integrated (never seen it..).

Or maybe they are using some sort of SSHDD (1TB + 256GB in one enclosure) ?
Does anyone have any ideas? :)
Thanks!

While this may not be the exact same model you're considering, you can find useful info about accessing the internals and how to replace hard disks.

It seems that ASUS aren't too happy about users unscrewing the bottom cover, but it is possible. And once you're there, swapping the mechanical HDD with an SSD seems pretty straightforward. The factory-installed 256GB SSD uses the M.2 slot and most likely contains the OS.
