The only parts you can really "upgrade" on a laptop is the RAM and drive.
Moving from 8GB to 16GB is a good start.
Changing from and HDD to SATA SSD is another good move.
What are the actual specs of these systems?
"Users need only to say what they want from the handset and the resulting interface is an app that answers your prompt."
I'm thinking....
"Connect to my little UAV and let me control it." ...will fail.
or
"Show me graph of the current sound pressure level in this room. A sliding graph, showing...
This sounds like a seriously compromised system, that cannot be brought back to uncompromised condition.
Full wipe and reinstall.
This includes all your applications.
Possibly something from here?

Also, searching for "kid phones" led to this one (I have NO idea if it does what they say, but there it is):

A reasonable backup plan will do exactly the same, or better, in Windows.
A few weeks ago, a really crappy software package dropped all sorts of malware on my system, even after being told not to.
30 minute recovery from the previous nights full drive backup....all done.
Exactly as it was, no...
From the fleabay write up, it appears to be 3 individual camera, in one box.
The software app shows it as 1, 2, 3.
Knowing all the vulnerabilities and crappy software that comes with these offbrand cameras, I wouldn't buy one.
You can't bypass the BIOS password like that.
And, we here cannot/will not assist with bypassing the password.
Contact the manufacturer, be prepared to prove ownership.
The drive type in the system does not change the CPU speed, or the internet speed.
Changing to an SSD, as you have done, DOES change the whole feel and responsiveness of the system.
Lastly, be careful of listening to random AI bot replies.
Probably, yes.
Don't try to boot from it.
And you will probably run into Permissions issues.
Look up TakeOwnership to get around that.
And for future reference, this is specifically what a good backup routine is for.
No idea on any of those brands...never heard of them.
But some of them look to be identical, just a different "brand name".
For instance, these two, Ziria and jiyan...
1 hour battery does not work.
20-25 mins, maybe.
I'm on my 3rd quadrotor, and have found about $200 (in the US) is the dividing line between toy and good.
Currently, I have a HolyStone HS720G.

What OS did it come with?
Either a reinstall of whatever it came with, or some minimal Linux install.
The specs of that system are very very limited.
There is little you can actually do with that hardware.
Especially as this seems to be a thin client.
It is not a real "PC".
For whomever comes along in the future and reads this article, please please please don't pass this along as "another layer of security", or "protection from hackers".
It is not.
Read unbiased reviews.
The megapixel race is long over.
Now, its just weenie waving.
30 megapixels done exactly right is probably better than 100 megapixels done slightly 'not optomized'.
And one camera might be better at closeups, and another better at distance.
Both really good, but excel...
You can't compare raw megapixel numbers in hopes of determining which camera is better.
How do they arrive at that mp value?
Merging multiple images from multiple lenses?
All from one lens?
Lens type and material?
What software is doing this?
etc, etc.
I have a Fuji X-T1 mirrorless camera...
There are some things you must get. The Security updates, for one.
In the Windows Update settings, there is an option for "Download updates over a metered connection".
Have you enabled that?
With a recommendation like that, it is traditional to give a "Why".
So....why, specifically, is the Apple Watch 8 "the best" for this person, and their minimally stated requirements?
Take an Image of each drive individually, with Macrium Reflect or similar.
Save these to some other drive.
Assuming the Factory Reset partition and function still exists, do that.
Return the system back to original out of the box config.
When you get it back, recover those Images to the...
Then whatever Nikon and lenses you currently have.
A good photographer knows it is more about the composition, lighting, and post processing, and less about the hardware.
Any DSLR or mirrorless that you are already familiar with.
Canon/Nikon/Fuji/Sony.
With appropriate lens(es), all produce great pictures.
The question is - How much experience do you have with cameras and weddings?
A wedding is a one time event, never to be repeated. And it is easy to flub it...
