The best thing that you can do with your missile is to ride it. It is one of the coolest things available with this weapon and you will have a lot of fun riding it. So what you can do is that you can just fire the missile while you are at a ground that makes it easy for the missile to pick you up like the top of the ramp. And then position it at your feet in a way that makes it easy for the missile to pick you up and then when it is near your feet, exit the control and it will pick you up.
