Hard Reset iPhone Running iOS 11

Hard resetting your iPhone running iOS 11 is an easy way to fix minor issues that your phone may encounter after you’ve used it for a few months. Although hard resetting does not guarantee that the issue would be fixed, being the easiest and most straightforward approach, it’s still worth trying.
When you hard reset:

■The apps that may crash unexpectedly are fixed

Earlier, the Home button played a significant role in hard resetting iPhones. However, the use of Home button remarkably changed over the years up to the level that the most recently released iPhone X (at the time of this writing) doesn’t even have it anymore.
That said, the process of hard resetting iPhones now varies in different models that can be divided into three categories:
■iPhone 6S Plus and Earlier (Including iPhone SE)
    ■iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
    ■iPhone 8 and Above

Here’s how you can hard reset the iPhones from each category:
Category 01 – iPhone 6S Plus and Earlier (Including iPhone SE)
■Press down and hold both Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears.
■Release the buttons when the logo comes up, and wait while your iPhone boots normally.

Category 02 – iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
■Press down and hold both Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons together until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears.
■Release the buttons when the logo comes up, and wait while your iPhone boots normally.

Category 03 – iPhone 8 and Above
■Press and release the Volume Up button
■Quickly press and release the Volume Down button
■Press down and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears.
■Release the button when the logo comes up, and wait while your iPhone boots normally.
