How to Share Your Screen with Another Skype User

The desktop version of Skype allows you to share your computer screen with other Skype users if you are engaged with him/her over a voice or video call. In order to share your desktop screen, you do not have to rely on any third-party application as the feature is already available within the Skype interface itself. All you need to do to share your screen is to have a reliable Internet connection with decent speed in order to transmit the graphics over the network without any halts or obstructions.

Assuming that you have already created a Skype account, you have a good Internet connection, and you are using your Skype on your desktop/laptop computer, here is how you can share your computer screen with another Skype user:

    ■Turn on your computer system.
■Open your Skype account, either using Microsoft account or by Skype Name.

■Assuming that you are logging by Skype account, provide your credentials in the appropriate fields, and click the Sign in button.

■On the Home page, click the desired contact from the list in left pane with whom you want to share your computer screen.

■From the right pane, click any button (Video call or Call) to initiate a call.

■Once the call is connected and received, click the Plus icon from the bottom.

■From the displayed options, click the Share screens option.

■On the next pop up box, click the Start button to start sharing your computer screen with the recipient.
