How To Sync Your Clipboard Between Windows And MacBook Pro

If you’ve ever wanted to copy the information on Windows and paste it into MacBook Pro you would have found the task to be quite difficult. The truth is that there is an easier solution than you think. 1clipboard is a great piece of software that uses your Google account to share clipboard details between your Windows and MacBook Pro. All you really need is a Google account and to download 1clipboard software.

Let us take a look at how to go about the whole process.

How to install 1clipboard?

As of now, 1clipboard cannot be used for Linux.

How to run 1clipboard?

The next step is to run 1clipboard on both the Windows and MacBook Pro that you want to involve in the clipboard sync process.
On a MacBook Pro, at this point, a dialog box will open asking if you wish to open the 1clipboard program on the computer. Click open.

Choose whether to sync across computers or manage one computer’s clipboard:

Now, there will be an option to choose whether you want to sign in to Google in order to set up a clipboard synchronization between Windows and MacBook. Click on “Sign in to Google to synchronize clipboard on multiple computers”. If you wish to use Clipboard only on that particular computer, then click “No, thanks. I will use it on this computer”.

If you select the option of syncing between multiple computers, in this case between Windows and MacBook Pro, then the following step prompts you to sign in to your Google account as mentioned above.

You will be asked for your password at this stage to sign in.

Allow 1clipboard to manage configuration:

1clipboard will request permission to view and manage its own configuration data in your Google drive. You must click on allow to proceed further. This is the final step which means that you are ready to sync clipboard on this particular device.

On MacBook Pro:

1clipboard on MacBook Pro appears as a “paper clip” symbol on the menu board. 1clipboard allows you to store clipboard history on your device and makes it possible to view clipboard items that were saved before.

On Windows:

1clipboard is added to the system tray by default on Windows. You can move it from here to the taskbar to make it easier to use.

How to use 1clipboard to sync clipboard items?

Once you’ve set up 1Clipboard on all your computers, you can easily copy and paste content between Windows and MacBook. You can also “favorite” previously copied work to view them easily when you need it later on. A search icon allows you to pinpoint older work as well.

1clipboard makes the process of clipboard content synchronization as easy as 1, 2, and 3. You can simply Copy whatever work you want on any Mac or Windows computer and it can be viewed on all synced computers.
