Walkthrough:
This is one of the quests where you will have to kill a monster that is bigger and powerful. This is a completely new monster and is not entirely native to Elder’s Recess.

Although it may not be stronger than some monsters in Elder’s Recess it still is quite powerful, the name of the monster is Bazelgeuse. Your objective is to track and kill Bazelgeuse; this one has been interfering with you for quite some time so not it is time for vengeance. If you successfully complete this quest, you will be rewarded with a more than adequate amount of 14400z. You will be given a window of 50 minutes to complete this quest and if you do not complete it in this amount of time, you will fail the quest.

Also, if you faint three times during the quest, you will fail it but you should be fine as you have fought more powerful monsters before. So in order to start the quest, you will be required to have a Hunter Rank of 13 or more which you should have by now. So with the basic of the quest out of the way, let’s start it:
- The Bazelgeuse is a very flighty monster meaning that it likes to travel a lot and it will be travelling consistently before the quest. There will be some times when it will flee during the battle to an area that is at a height so you will have to put some effort in climbing those heights that can take some time as well. But when it comes to finding it to start the fight, you are likely to discover this monster in the heights of the AREA 4 but it can also fly to the AREAS 9, 3 and 2.

- So when you find the Bazelgeuse and start fighting it, you will need to keep some things in mind. The first thing is that aside from its huge body, it has explosive scales that it deploys in many ways and either detonate them with its body or with fire breath. As this is a flying monster, you can expect the charge back and forth attack along with the typical tail sweep. It also flies up and does a ground slam and sometimes a side rush as well.

- If it gets enraged, its bombs will then be dropped pre-charged meaning they will explode shortly after being deployed. You will know it as its scales will begin to glow. The head, body and the wings of the Bazelgeuse are breakable and its tail is severable which you should be targeting as it has a bomb on it. The head of the Bazelgeuse takes the most damage and the wings are weak to ammo damage. Lastly, the monster is weak against Thunder and is most resilient to Stun and Blast ailments.

Keep these things in mind and kill the Bazelgeuse. Once you kill it, carve it and then you will be rewarded with a generous amount of 14400z.
